Report #72 from lg3

Then-Current Conditions - 78F / 26C | Clear - 8:53 PM CDT Jul. 27

No wind out there tonite...think that may have slowed em down a bit (?).  Only picked up one small 12 inch walleye - same place as yesterday.

More tomorrow!

I fished some humps (more like ridges) west of eagle island and north of Hay Creek Narrows Saturday evening. Surface temps were about 83-84 degrees. Great for all the tubers and skiers that were out in the area but very hot fishing. Between me and 1 guest we got 1 walleye and 2 small northern. Then moved to Moss creek area for sunset and picked up 2 more walleyes but sooooo many small sunfish and perch it was hard to keep a crawler on the line. I should have switched to a shad rap or beetle spin or something but was too hot or drunk to make the change...LOL

While we enjoy excellent fishing today, 90% of the juvenile walleye population has disappeared in recent years. Help keep the Chippewa Flowage healthy.
